  • Have read some tutorials and some part of the 3Delight manual. Modified a shader from a tutorial. Here are some images.

 

March-30-2007:
Configuring the RenderMan Dev Env

  • I have decided to use SciTE for my initial RenderMan learning phase. I had to add rib.properties and sl.properties configuration files in order to integrate the appropriate tools for compiling shaders and running the rendering program on the RIB files.
  • Once I setup the 3Delight license server, I have started reading the manual and gathered some useful tips and tools.

Is now well known, long and far

RenderMan is ideal for Graphics
Supports everything from Polygons, Planes to Quadrics

RenderMan has a number of primitives
Also Math from Sin, Cos to Derivatives

RenderMan supports a lot of shading
Makes inanimate objects living

As we said before,
God created Man, Pixar created RenderMan.
